Welcome to Osaka Real Estate!
Osaka is Japan’s second largest city with nearly 20 million people and is located in on the Yodo River in Osaka Bay. And not surprisingly, Osaka is the capital of the Osaka Prefecture. Osaka literally translates to the words: Large Hill (or Large Slope). Osaka has traditionally been one of the business and financial centers and continues in that role today. However, food gourmets should take note: Osaka is affectionately known as the “nation’s kitchen” in deference to Osaka’s thriving and robust culinary skills (it is also known as the “Mecca of gourmet food”).
The central area of Osaka is defined by 2 areas known as Kita (translation: north), and Minami (translation: south). Kita is primarily the region of Osaka where the central business & shopping district of Umeda is located. Minami on the other hand is home to the 3 shopping districts of: Namba, Shinsaibashi, andDōtonbori. One of the more popular tourist & entertainment areas is located by the Dōtonbori Bridge – famous for a very large mechanical crab, Triangle Park, as well as the America Village known as Amerikamura.
